Best practices

How to get the most from this form.

Use a dropdown for ticket types

A dropdown keeps the form clean and prevents typos in ticket category names, which makes filtering and exporting easier.

Ask about dietary requirements early

Dietary needs are critical for catering. Include a radio or checkbox field and make it visible — attendees appreciate being asked.

Collect accessibility needs

A short 'Special requirements' field invites attendees to flag accessibility needs, language preferences, or other requests you wouldn't otherwise know about.

Send a confirmation email

After registration, respondents should receive a confirmation. In Formiqa, you can configure a confirmation email with event details and next steps.

FAQ

Common questions.

What should an event registration form include?
At minimum: Full name, Email, and Ticket type. Optional additions: Company, Phone, Dietary requirements, Special accessibility needs. For paid events, collect payment separately — Formiqa doesn't process payments but works well for free or pre-invoiced events.
Can I limit the number of registrations?
Formiqa doesn't have a built-in submission cap per form, but you can monitor registrations in your dashboard and unpublish the form when capacity is reached.
How do I export the attendee list?
On Formiqa Pro, click 'Export CSV' in the submission dashboard. You'll get a spreadsheet with all registration data, timestamps, and any uploaded files. Useful for name badges, catering counts, or check-in lists.
Can I use this form for a recurring event?
Yes. Duplicate the form for each event occurrence, rename it with the event date, and publish a fresh link. Previous submissions stay with the original form.
Does Formiqa send confirmation emails to attendees?
Yes. You can configure a confirmation email to respondents from your form settings. Include event details, location, and any preparation instructions in the email body.
