Export submissions to CSV
How to export a form's submissions to a CSV file, what each row and column contains, and why you should load all submissions before exporting.
- Every form's submissions page has an **Export CSV** button that downloads your responses as a spreadsheet.
- CSV export is a **Pro** feature — free users see a locked button that links to the upgrade page.
- The file contains a row number, one column per field (by its label), the submission date, and file uploads as URLs.
- The export includes the submissions currently loaded on the page — load more first if you want every response.
When you want to analyze responses in a spreadsheet, share them with a colleague, or keep an offline backup, a CSV export is the fastest route. On any form's submissions page, the Export CSV button turns your responses into a downloadable file.
What's in the export
Each row in the CSV is one submission. The columns follow your form's structure:
- A row number to keep track of each entry.
- One column per field, using the field's label as the header. Layout-only elements (headings, page breaks) are skipped.
- The submission date.
- File uploads as file URLs — each file field is flattened to the link where its upload is stored.
The file is named <FormTitle>_submissions.csv, so exports from different forms stay easy to tell apart.
Export your submissions
- 1Open the form's submissions page.
- 2Load all the rows you need — scroll or load more so every submission you want is on the page.
- 3Click Export CSV. Your browser downloads the file straight away.
Pro plan required
CSV export is available on the Pro plan. On the free plan, the button shows a locked Pro label and links to the upgrade page instead of downloading. See plans and limits to compare what each plan includes.
Opening the file
A CSV opens in every major spreadsheet tool — Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers. From there you can sort, filter, build pivot tables, or import the data wherever you need it.
