Managing submissions

Where responses land, how to read and mark them, the search and filter tools, editing a submission's data, and what happens when you delete one.

Key points
  • Every response lands in the submissions dashboard — with a per-form view and a global view across all forms.
  • Submissions are marked read or unread automatically the moment you open them.
  • You can full-text search responses and filter by time period, by client, and by the value of choice fields.
  • Deleting a submission also deletes its uploaded files and frees your storage, and it can't be undone.

Once a form is live, every response people submit lands in your submissions dashboard. That's where you read, search, filter, edit, and — when you're done with one — delete responses. This guide covers the whole workflow.

Where to find your responses

Open your dashboard. You get two ways to look at responses: a per-form view that shows only the submissions for one form, and a global view that lists responses across all your forms in one place. Use the per-form view when you're working through a single form, and the global view when you want the overall picture.

Reading responses

Click a response to open it and read every field the person filled in. Submissions are marked read or unread automatically — the moment you open one it's flagged as read, so the unread count always reflects what you still have to look at. There's nothing to toggle by hand.

Search and filter

When responses pile up, the search and filter tools help you find the right one fast:

  • Full-text search — type into the search box to match text anywhere in a response.
  • Time period — narrow to today, this week, or this month.
  • By client — filter to the responses tied to a specific client.
  • By choice-field value — filter by the selected value of a select, radio, or checkbox field.

Editing a submission

You can edit a submission's data after it arrives — useful for fixing a typo in an email address or correcting a value before you export. Open the response, change the fields, and save. The updated values are what you'll see everywhere the response appears, including exports.

Deleting a submission

Deleting a response removes it from your dashboard for good. If the response included uploaded files, those are deleted too — which frees up your storage quota.

Exporting

Need responses outside Formiqa? You can export submissions to CSV for spreadsheets and analysis, or generate PDF reports for a clean, shareable copy of individual responses.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see responses from all my forms at once?
Yes. Alongside the per-form view, the dashboard has a global view that lists submissions across every form in one place.
How are responses marked as read?
Automatically. A submission is flagged as read the moment you open it, so the unread count always reflects what you haven't looked at yet.
If I delete a submission, do its uploaded files go too?
Yes. Deleting a submission also deletes any files uploaded with it and frees the storage they used. The action can't be undone, so export the response first if you might need it.
Why are older responses not all shown at once?
Results are paginated at about 20 per page. Load more to reveal older responses, or use search and filters to jump straight to the ones you want.
